Uses
The D4 Professional Wood Glue by Bond It is a premium, ready-to-use, solvent-free industrial-grade PVA adhesive that delivers an outstanding bond. Compared to conventional PVA Wood Glues, the Bond It D4 is unmatched due to its excellent water resistance, including total water immersion resistance. This product's other resistances include impact and temperature, making the D4 suitable for interior and exterior applications.
Preparation
Before commencing the application, you should prepare the surface to ensure you achieve optimal results. Remove any contaminants present, including dirt, dust, grease, oil, organic growth, etc. Cleaning the surface improves adhesion, but any mis-machined wood may produce a weaker bond.
Application
- Apply a thin layer of adhesive to one side; if a high-performance water resistance is required, apply to both sides.
- Avoiding using too much glue as this can significantly reduce the curing process
- Once the glue is applied, clamp the surface together until the adhesive is cured, which can take up to 8 hours.
- When bonding dowels, apply the glue to the hole and place the dowel into it.
Limitations and Notes
- Surfaces to be bonded cannot have a moisture content (<10%)
- This should not be used for load-bearing applications.
- Optimal temperatures for curing is 18°C-20°C, don't apply this product below 10°C
- Sand excess glue off before applying any wood stains
- Due to the nature of different woods, discolouration may occur, so a preliminary test is recommended.
Returns Policy
You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
