The Cromar Vent 3 Classic Breathable Membrane - 1.5m x 50m by Cromar is an outstanding secondary layer protection for your roof. This breathable membrane is fitted behind the first layer of defence, preventing any water that passes through from entering your roofing space, instead being redirected into the gutter.

Cromar crafted this product for application in a fully supported or unsupported tiled, slated, or metal roof system. This product stands out from the rest because of its high vapour permeability and waterproofing resistance of the membrane, combined with superior tensile and tear strength and wind resistance.

How Does This Product Resist Water While Allowing Water Vapour to Pass Through?

The outer layer functions as a fully effective waterproof barrier, preventing water penetration. The middle layer, made from a high-quality breathable membrane, allows water vapour inside the roof space to escape, ensuring proper ventilation. The inner layer adds protection against abrasion and damage, enhancing the membrane's overall durability and integrity.

Application Notes

Install this product in accordance with BS 5534:2018 and Cromar's fixing instructions. The Vent 3 Classic Breathable Membrane serves as a secondary barrier against wind-driven rain and snow. Rather than a primary layer. While it resists UV exposure for up to three months. Best practice recommends completing the installation of the first layer as soon as possible to ensure long-term protection.

Accepting Your Delivery

We offer free next day (working day) delivery for all eligible orders over £50. For eligibility, orders must be placed before 14:00 from Monday to Friday. If you order on a Saturday, the order will be shipped on Monday for next day delivery.
