Protect P1 Black Roof Coating 10kg (2 × 5kg Tins)

This pack contains two 5kg tins of Protect P1 Black Roof Coating, giving you 10kg for roof maintenance and repairs. The high-build, solvent-based acrylic coating contains reinforcing fibres that help bridge small gaps and cracks. Applied evenly, it forms a continuous waterproof barrier and is water resistant immediately after application.

Suitable surfaces

The product label lists flat and pitched roofs, weathered asphalt, bituminous surfaces, gutters, concrete, brickwork, fibreglass, felt, and galvanised or ferrous metal. Check that the coating is suitable for the condition and construction of your roof before use.

Coverage and drying

Apply at approximately 1–2kg per m², depending on surface condition and porosity. The two tins together cover an estimated 5–10m². Rough or porous surfaces may require more product.

Protect P1 is touch dry in 3–4 hours and reaches full cure in 6–7 days. Apply at temperatures between 5°C and 25°C.

How to apply

Remove loose debris, moss, lichen, dirt and grease. Ensure the surface is dry and free from standing water, then stir the coating thoroughly before and during use. Apply generously with a brush, roller or squeegee, working evenly to form a continuous coating. The label states that most roofing substrates do not require a primer.

Safety: This product is flammable. Keep away from ignition sources, provide good ventilation and wear suitable protective gloves, eyewear and clothing. Read the full product label before use.

Free Delivery

We offer free next day (working day) delivery for all eligible orders over £50. For eligibility, orders must be placed before 14:00 from Monday to Friday. If you order on a Saturday, the order will be shipped on Monday for next day delivery.
