Protect P1 Black Roof Coating 5kg

Protect P1 is a fibre reinforced roof coating for general maintenance and repair work. Its high-build, solvent-based acrylic formula helps bridge small gaps and cracks to form a continuous waterproof barrier. The coating is water resistant immediately after application.

The label lists flat and pitched roofs, weathered asphalt, bituminous surfaces, gutters, concrete, brickwork, fibreglass, felt, and galvanised or ferrous metal as suitable surfaces. Check the condition of the roof and the suitability of the coating before starting work.

Coverage and application

Apply at approximately 1–2kg per m². A 5kg tin covers an estimated 2.5–5m², depending on surface condition and porosity.

Prepare a clean, dry surface free from loose debris, moss, lichen, dirt, grease and standing water. Stir thoroughly before and during use, then apply generously and evenly to form a continuous coating. The label states that most roofing substrates do not require a primer.

Apply at 5°C to 25°C. The coating is touch dry in 3–4 hours and reaches full cure in 6–7 days. Read the full label and safety instructions before use.

Free Delivery

We offer free next day (working day) delivery for all eligible orders over £50. For eligibility, orders must be placed before 14:00 from Monday to Friday. If you order on a Saturday, the order will be shipped on Monday for next day delivery.
