Protect P1 Grey Roof Coating is a solvent-based, fibre reinforced waterproof coating for roof maintenance and repairs. Its high-build formula helps bridge small gaps and cracks and is water resistant immediately after application. Suitable surfaces listed on the label include flat and pitched roofs, weathered asphalt, bituminous surfaces, gutters, concrete, brickwork, fibreglass, felt and metal. Apply with a brush, roller or squeegee at approximately 1–2kg per m², depending on the surface.

Protect P1 Grey Roof Coating 5kg

Protect P1 Grey Roof Coating is a solvent-based acrylic coating for general roof maintenance and repairs. Its high-build formula contains fibres that interlace to help bridge small gaps and cracks, creating a continuous waterproof barrier. The coating is water resistant immediately after application.

The label lists flat and pitched roofs, weathered asphalt, bituminous surfaces, gutters, concrete, brickwork, fibreglass, felt, and galvanised or ferrous metal as suitable surfaces. Check that the coating is appropriate for the condition and construction of your roof before use.

Coverage and application

A 5kg tin covers approximately 2.5–5m² at the stated application rate. Actual coverage depends on the condition and porosity of the surface.

Before applying, remove loose debris, moss, lichen, dirt and grease. Ensure the surface is dry and free from standing water. Stir thoroughly before and during use, then apply generously and evenly to form a continuous coating. The label states that most roofing substrates do not require a primer.

Apply at 5°C to 25°C. Protect P1 is touch dry in 3–4 hours and reaches full cure in 6–7 days. Read the product label and safety information before use.

Can Protect P1 be used on felt or metal roofs?

The product label lists felt and galvanised and ferrous metal among its suitable surfaces. Check the condition of the roof and the suitability of the coating for the specific job before applying.

How long does Protect P1 take to dry?

The label gives a touch-dry time of 3–4 hours and a full cure time of 6–7 days.

We offer free next day (working day) delivery for all eligible orders over £50. For eligibility, orders must be placed before 14:00 from Monday to Friday. If you order on a Saturday, the order will be shipped on Monday for next day delivery.
